Hiking Ascent to Barú Volcano

Barú Volcano is the highest point in Panamanian territory, known as the tallest volcano in southern Central America, standing at 3,475 meters (11,398 feet) above sea level. It spans an area of 14,300 hectares (35,336 acres).

Its last reported eruption was over 500 years ago. This place features a unique forest vegetation and magical trails, offering impressive views from various lookout points as you ascend. ITINERARY

We##MG=C_S##ll begin the ascent to Barú Volcano at 5:30 AM, starting with a brief introduction to the Volcán Barú National Park, followed by pre-ascent preparations (stretching and warm-up).

We##MG=C_S##ll make several stops to eat and rest during the ascent (depending on the participants##MG=C_S## pace).

Upon reaching the summit, we##MG=C_S##ll enjoy spectacular views with a high probability of seeing both oceans.

IMPORTANT TO BRING:

• Sunscreen, mosquito repellent, and skin moisturizing cream.

• It##MG=C_S##s essential that all participants present a personal identification document.

• Sunglasses, a cap or hat, and a waterproof bag for cameras and cell phones.

• Sneakers or boots with sturdy soles for rocky terrain.

• Headlamp or flashlight, waterproof tent, thermal pad, sleeping bag, and water.

• Loose-fitting clothing for long-distance walking and warm clothing for the cold at the summit.

• If you take medication, remember to bring an extra daily dose with you.
